JESSICA YOUNG
Founder, President - 2020
Growing up in Silicon Valley, Jessica's life has been immersed in technology and science. She created this program to empower youth in STEM and give them similar opportunities that she has benefited from. In her free time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, watching Netflix and Youtube, and reading manga.
ALLISON HONG
Creative Director - 2020
Allison is interested in the intersection of chemistry, physics, and environmental engineering. She loves to engage with younger students, conduct research, and read literature regarding novel developments in the environment. In addition, she enjoys hiking and playing the piano.
MAY JIANG
Videos Director - 2020
May loves studying biology and neuroscience! She teaches math, science, and many other classes and camps in her free time to inspire young kids to exercise creativity and learn outside of the classroom. Outside of academics, she likes making things out of clay, crocheting, baking, and reading!
MARGARET CAPETZ
Public Relations Director - 2020
Margaret enjoys learning human physiology, and she is considering a future in biomedicine or bioengineering. Margaret is also passionate about sustainability and is currently assisting in research regarding California wildfires. Her hobbies include reading, playing the guitar, and running.
TRINITY BANG
Public Relations Director - 2021
Trinity loves engaging in and advocating for all STEM topics both inside and outside of school. In everyday life, she enjoys trying new foods, adopting a variety of hobbies, and traveling to new places.
ELIZABETH G.
Programs Director - 2021
Elizabeth is eager to share knowledge and help create a positive change in her community. Elizabeth enjoys playing piano, lacrosse, and learning all things pertaining to medicine.
CONNER SONG
Videos Director - 2021
Connor moved from Los Altos High in California this year, and continues to contribute to STEMpathize. His favorite subject is science, but he also spends his free time gaming, creating videos, and 3D printing.
JULIA SERYAKOVA
President - 2021
Julia has always been passionate about math and science, and is very excited to share this passion by volunteering for STEMpathize! Some of Julia’s hobbies include dancing, cooking, learning new languages, and going on long walks with her dog Izzy.
ASTRA TULAC
Co-President - 2022
Astra enjoys sailing, hiking, snowboarding, and spending time outdoors. More than anything, she loves spreading her interest in STEM through tutoring or activities such as STEMpathize.
KAITLYN LEE
Co-President - 2022
Kaitlyn loves cats, volleyball, and science. She’s had so much fun volunteering at STEMpathize because it allows her inspire fellow students in the community to foster an interest in STEM. In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys scrapbooking and drinking boba.
MICHAEL YOUNG
Vice President - 2022
When not working on STEMpathize's website, Michael enjoys connecting with friends and family, cooking food, eating said food, watching YouTube, and listening to music.
KIRA SIDHU
Workshop Facilitator Consultant - 2022
Kira is fascinated by science, psychology, and languages. In her free time she enjoys playing soccer, dancing, reading, writing, and playing the violin. She can’t wait to write for STEMpathize and help introduce students to the scientific wonders of STEM!
Erica Choy
Content Creation Director - 2024
Erica Choy is a Fremont High School sophomore with a passion for mathematics and art. In her free time, she likes to practice embroidery and origami to improve her skills. Erica also enjoys building Legos, especially sets with leaves and flowers. Her goal at STEMpathize is to explore different aspects of STEM and share her learnings with others.
Chengzhi Wang
Co-President - 2024
Chengzhi Wang is a current senior at Los Altos High School, who is passionate about math and physics. His hobbies include chess, coding, biking, and playing basketball. A fun fact about him is he can jump rope to 700 without stopping. He is excited to apply his knowledge of STEM to help teach younger students and help out the community in general.
